Maybe some of the less educated ones do. Usually only closed minded fundamentalists will look to their "scriptures" for scientific facts that support their religion...
For example, I took a look at Biomimetik's "answer" and sure enough, it doesn't answer your question...it's just more attempts by a brainwashed fundamentalist to spread a false religion (in this case: Islam)
They like to use "science" to attract curious unsuspecting young people to their religion. Without knowing better (ignorance) the victim will be blinded by science, and go "wow! If these scientific facts are true, the religion must be true". It's a dirty, intellectually dishonest, evil trick, but that's another topic.
Also, it depends on what kind of "dust" you're talking about. There are many different kinds of dust, such as house dust, land dust, and star dust. House dust is definitely composed mainly of our dead skin cells and the dried feces of dust mites (which EAT dead skin cells), but land dust is usually composed of a wide variety of minerals and organic compounds which are not skin cells at all. And then there's star dust. You can see it in any picture of a typical spiral galaxy, such as this one...
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap060707.html
The dust is the dark material interlaced between the spiral arms, and there are no dead skin cells in star dust.
Peace!

I think I heard that they were going to protest aganist dust and have George W. make it against the law just like stem cell research.
So does that mean for every cell of skin we lose we are losing a part of our soul? If so, does that make people with dandruff the worst sinners?

Who knows? The Scripture says that God created Adam "from the dust of the Earth", so I'm inclined to believe the possibility.

Gary doesn't know the difference between evolution and the big bang. Well if we came from dust that is evolution, and no god needed. The skin in dust came from us, so it would not explain where we came from.

Hey bub; just look at the sun , moon , and billions of stars, not to mention the billions of different life forms; then ask yourself this question; how can atheists be so dumb as to believe evolution theory?

It sounds just wacky enough for a typical Christian to believe it. Let's see what sort of responses you get from them.
