For about a week, I have felt different. You see, I am on a medication called Zoloft for panic attacks. I have been off the pill for about 2 and a half months and I pretend to take it. I had been fine for that period of time, but now I do not feel like myself. I go to a day camp and on the way to and from camp, I only listen to my music. Before, I would talk to everyone on the bus that takes us there, but now, I barely say a word. And I have been listening to sad music but I used to listen to happy and good feeling music. On certain days, I eat a ton, and on others I barely eat at all. I rarely smile now and i do not like to talk to people as much as I used to. And at our camp, I swim alone, do activities alone, and keep quiet. I think either it is the lack of chemicals that Zoloft had given me or I am depressed. Please help. I want to be my old self. I want to be happy and energetic again.

I've been a human "Lab-Rat" with doctors, trying to find just the right thing for me, for "Anxiety", years ago.. I tried Zoloft, Buspar, Paxil, Elivil, Wellbutrin, Prozac, honey, you name it, I've tried them all !! Not good, and I would not wish what I went through on, anyone!! I got rushed to the hospitol once, had paramedics,at my apt., several times, missed work, behind paxil. Until, they finally have me on Diazepam, its in the valume family. Its actually generic, for valume.. and I'm quite fine with just this!! You may have to go back to your doctor, to see if you could try something else, for awhile, I really hate recommending that to anyone, but until you get on something that makes you, not want to become a "Recluse", you may never go back to being yourself for a long time to come... Just explain, your a bit concerned about the meds your on, and are worried, this is whats causing you to feel the way you do... They completely understand, thats what their there, for... Just tell the same story to them, you told us.....Good-Luck, with it all, I hope you get your life back.. Soon..

You are probably depressed, and you should never stop taking medication with out telling your doctor....I did the same thing as you, and I am better now, but I think that depression is a life long battle. I find the best way to combat it for me is by running ( exercise is great for replacing hormones that you may be missing like serotonin or endorphins). Everyone is different though and you can't take anyone's advice from an internet site. Please tell someone how you feel, and work with your doctor to do what is right for you.

You are depressed. You should never just stop taking your meds. can be bad. The zoloft is now totally out of your system,if you wanted to be on it you must do so in the way your doctor sat up the doses for you. We all think when we feel better we can stop our meds.,but that is not true,if you feel good keep doing it,the meds are doing their job.

You stopped taking your medicine!?! Oh, don't ever do that without a doctor's say-so. Especially psychoactive drugs. Talk to your doctor, ASAP.

GET OFF THE MEDICINE!!! You don't need medicine to help you with anything. You may disagree with this but that's fine, the Lord is the only medicine you need.

Medication can be very dangerous if taken improperly.I suggest that you see your physcian immediately, don't wait.
