it all depends on what you use for mixers most hard liquor is low in calories. coke zero works well.

it really depends on the beer and the mix drink. Some liquors don't have any sugar (normally where the calories come from), but if you pair the liquor with a coke, fruit juice or something else with a lot of sugar than you are in the same boat as if you are drinking beer.
Start looking at the labels of beer, some are real low, like Becks (i think around 60 or so calories per beer). Then do the same for the mixed drinks you like and an option or two you like.

Liquor by itself has around 150 calories a shot. Then when you add a mixer it adds even more unless you are using a diet soda.

To who answered Guinness is bad above: Draught Guinness actually has fewer calories than most other premium beers and lagers. A twelve ounce serving has 110 calories. To compare, Miller Lite has 96. I would much rather have a Guinness!

In a shot of clear liquor there is around 70 calories. You should probably use a diet mixer. I also drink Miller Lite @ around 100 calories a bottle. Enjoy!

Mixed drinks have more calores, actually, than beer. It is the yeast in beer that makes you gain weight.

Wash your mouth out with cleansing soap! My extremely recent ancestors have been bargemen and brewers - I actual have a love of good, unadulterated beer flowing via each and every fibre! P.S. i like boats, too!

Caffine free diet Coke and Cpt. Morgan spiced rum. My wife loves them. I drink orange-pineapple juice (Premixed, Dole brand) with 2 juggers light rum, 1 jigger malibu and 1 jigger spiced rum
