Ralston made several products. Now the Ralston Purina Company. Mainly makes animal food from Checker Board Square. Used to make Wheat Cheks and Rice Cheks. Also made a hot cereal called Purina. Sorta kinda like oatmeal.

Don't know if they are still making cereal. Try checking their web site.

Although it's been a couple of years since I last purchased it, I was able to purchase the Ralston 100% Whole Wheat Cereal at my local Dierbergs Supermarket in Shiloh, IL about 18 miles from downtown St. Louis (19 minute drive). Dierbergs has a chain of stores in the greater St. Louis, MO metropolitan area where the Ralston-Purina plant is also located. Don't look in the regular cereal aisle at Dierbergs, though. I found it in a specialty foods aisle. It came in the same box I remembered from my childhood. Before I found it at Dierbergs, I had to buy it directly from Ralston-Purina. I was able to order it by phone. I called customer service. I was required to purchase at least six boxes, though, which I did. We ate Ralson a lot when I was growing up and the nutty taste of it reminds me of home. It was my favorite hot cereal. Back then came in a box.

I havent heard of Ralston, but I belive they went into partnership with Purina at some point, , and manufacture everything from pet foods, to breakfast cereals, I used to like Kellogs Krumbles when I was a kid, But I dont think it is made anymore either. If there Is a Trader Joes in your area, try some of their cereals, they seem to be reminiscent of older cereals of the past.
