Here's a couple:

Chocolate Frosting:
1/3 cup softened butter
2 squares (1 oz each) melted and cooled chocolate
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teas vanilla
2 tbsp milk

Mix butter and chocolate. Stir in sugar. Beat in vanilla and milk until smooth.

Vanilla Frosting:
1/2 cup butter at room temperature
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teas vanilla

Cream butter. Add sugar, milk and vanilla. Mix until light and fluffy. May need to be refrigerated to let harden a bit.

when i bake lemon cakes, i make my own frosting with powder sugar and one lemon, squeeze lemon juice into about 1/4 cup of powder sugar stirring until you get frosting make sure it not to runny almost thick enough to coat the back of a spoon,if to runny just add more sugar, then drizzle over cool cake......yummy

another is powder sugar with cream cheese and vanilla
let cream cheese sit at room temp for about one hour and one cap full of vanilla and while stirring add powder sugar. makes a great frosting on almost any kind of cake..

good luck.....
