People often wonder what their purpose is in being here, when everything seems hopeless. What you should realize is that just by being alive, you have a purpose and were meant to be here. It can seem overwhelming that there are so many negative things in the world, you just don't know what you can do to change things. Do you remember the Michael Jackson song "Man in the Mirror?" Forget that it was Michael Jackson, the song had a deep message. The only thing you have control over is yourself, your thoughts and your actions. All we have is today, so make sure each day to treat yourself and others with respect. Do something nice for someone else, and do something nice for yourself, even little things. Then, each night before you go to sleep, look in the mirror and know that you lived that day with dignity.

All hope is never gone. I pray because I'm a christian but other people have different religions that work for them. Try picking up a sport, or writing or painting. Do something that takes up some of your free time so you don't have so much time to dwell on what makes everything feel hopeless. Hurting yourself never helps trust me. Find something you love whether it be another person,a sport, a religion or hobby. Talk to someone there are alot of people in the world that are willing to help, I am.

When I hit bottom, as I have on several occasions, I now realize that things will change the next day. It always does. It's a bit of a miracle how that happens but it's been proven time after time to be true. Not one single time have I ever felt worse after bottoming out. I go to bed and wake up to find that things are on the upswing.
I had to learn to trust that all bad things will change, because all things change! It was a tough thing to learn, it is more fun to obsess about something bad, but look at people who have lost loved ones, or rape victims. They do what they need to to move on. So start doing something you love or something you wanted to try.
Have you ever flown a kite? It's a beautiful thing to get lost in the pull of the thermals above. It makes you realize how amazing nature is and how little control we puny humans have over things.
I wish you peace.

If you have your health, all your limbs and mental state..and are a functional human being. You should be thankful and take a motivational course and stop thinking negative and or feeling sorry for yourself. Pick yourself up by the bootstraps and kick your own butt. If on the other hand you are missing something in your life, then ask your God or higher power and you will find peace within. God loves all his children and you are no exception no matter what comes your way. Roll with it!

Try and to think positive, nothing is so bad where you should hurt yourself. Everyday i feel overwhelmed but some how i make it. Just remember someone out there has it worse than you do. And there are people who love you just the way you are.

Take a nap. Tomorrow will be better. Never lose hope. It keeps up going. The world is a mess we know, so might as well make it as good as you can while you can. Keep on truckin'. Take care of yourself.

Do what ever takes the edge off...cry, pray, sleep, eat. And then go out and find something to be thankful for.
This, too, shall pass.
BTW-taking the edge off does not include the use of alcohol or recreational drugs. That kind of abuse only adds to your problems.

u look at ur life and see wat hope u lost? i mean u say uve lost all hope but wat gave u hope at first? can u say something to dat? are u sure it's lost? it's only lost when u let it go. so try to hang on to it. church might not help, if ur not extremely religious. crying can help, but not always. u can write it also helps. hurting urself is only causing more pain, so do u really think u should do that? i mean i've tried all. writing and sometimes crying is the most affective. but seriously, you only loose the hope when u let it go. u sure u let it go yet?

You tell yourself that you can't possibly have experienced everything the world has to offer, focus on your goals and go for them.

Time will heal.
Nothing is permanent.
Feeling happy, or sad.
There are good days and there are bad days.
And some days that make it all worthwhile.
And at that moment, you realize, change is the only constant.
