God made us, but why? Do you not think that god just made us because he was bored?
Think about it: He is a being with great power, but what can a being that can do anything do with itself?
God made the Universe so there would be something pretty to look at. God made angels, but they are just a bunch of yes men (no fun). But humans are imperfect with the ability to make choices and isint it quite fun to watch the decisions we make?
I believe god knows all the possible outcomes of past and present, therfore he gave us the ability to make decisions so that he can watch which path we take. He made lucifer to spice things up or else hed end up with a bunch of docile simple minded adam and Eves. He made religion so that we know who we owe life to.
But God has no reason what so ever to have to do any of this except for the fact that god just wanted to do so. So in fact, its like god is playing a video game where he makes some decisions (like disasters) and he watches how we react. FUN!

God created you because He found the idea that you are so lovely, so perfect that He did not want to be without you. He did this so that He might have you to love, and so that he would have you to love Him.

We are essentially God experiencing a virtual reality, disguised as actual reality.

The trick being that our original state is spirit. To see what is going on here we need to understand that spirit is our primary mode of existence, our first or primary reality. Anything that happens here in this physical reality is confined strictly to this particular reality. That is it does not harm or effect the actual truth of us, our spirit in any real way.

God loves us way too much to take any real chances that we might be harmed, so She created this reality where we can pretend that we are these physical bodies with all of their vulnerabilities. Here we can experiment with all of these scary Ideas about war and death, love and fear or anything else that strikes our fancy. All without any real harm being done to our true nature, spirit.

It is really an elegant charade if you actually start to analyze it. The safety it provides for us makes me believe that the intellect behind it is loving beyond our capacity to understand.

If this answer made any sense to you at all, I suggest you get a copy of the course in miracles. It is a book that explains this all in minute detail. I was surprised that anyone on this forum had it together enough to even pose the question you asked.

Love and blessings

Sorry I can't agree with your warped sense of why God created us. I believe our Heavenly Father created us for the same reason we have children. Someone to love and to love us back, out of selflessness to share what we have and who we are.
As far as laughing at us when we make mistakes is ridiculous. As a parent would you find joy in your children misfortune? Good choices or bad as parents we love our children no matter what. Even if they would make the worst kinds of mistakes.

My belief is that God wants us to call Him "Father" for a darn good reason. He is the father of our souls. We are His children.

Given these two facts (at least in my mind), Father (God) wants His children (us) to become ALL that we are capable of- in wisdom, goodness, kindness, happiness, etc.

He's given us guidelines (commandments) on how to go about fulfilling our potential- don't kill, don't covet, keep your promises, ask for help (pray), etc. He's even promised to help! (Jesus, Holy Spirit, Bible)

This life is the school and proving-ground where that growth and development occurs.

Again this is my feelings on the subject... makes a lot more sense to me than the "video game" theory. I think He's invested a awful lot in us and this planet for it to be just a game.

God made men (and women) so that he can walk with us it was in his plan to create us for us to love and adore him. things were going great until the one who was thrown out of heaven screwed things up and God does allow bad stuff to happen for a reason spiritually speaking Gods got a very tight leash on the devil. he will allow the enemy to do certian things to us in order to test our faith in him. if we become victorious over the enemy God will make us stronger and stronger.so the enemy cannot do any more then what God will allow ,straight and simple.

Catholics that God created the world according to his wisdom.

It is not the product of any necessity whatever, nor of blind fate or chance.

We believe that it proceeds from God's free will; he wanted to make his creatures share in his being, wisdom, and goodness: "For you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."

Therefore the Psalmist exclaims: "O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all"; and "The LORD is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made."

With love in Christ.

LOL...GOD and HIS wife got into an argument and 'SHE' said 'HE' was spending to much time in the lab and thus 'GOD' created the Heavens and the Earth and all that there -in to be able to release the emotions of a 'hard' day at the office which 'HE' would never allow 'HIMSELF' to argue/talk about with 'HIS' WIFE and to have some emotional/spirtritual gratification other than at home....lol....

That's a good question. God is perfect and He doesn't need anything. Really, if you think he's all-powerful, you would think that He didn't want anything either. So it doesn't really make sense that He would have to create life.

If there's a God he/she/it made us because he/she/it ran out of video games, sports on TV, and other diversions to do...GOD DIDN'T MAKE US! PEACE---we are evolving and there's a PROCESS that maybe, just maybe an intelligence beyond our capablitiy to understand set off (some label that intelligence God). PEACE!

No Jehovah changed into no longer board earlier he created us. he's complete and didn't want some thing or all and sundry. it truly is only because of his large love, that each and every thing has come into life.

We are God's version of a reality TV show. He fell asleep many centuries ago and forgot to turn us off. When He wakes up, there'll be Hell to pay.
