Hsv-1 is the common herpes that almost everyone has had it is known as "the nice herpes". Don't give it a second thought.

Probably not. But whatever you do, don't have any sexual contact while you have one...it can spread to your partner or spread to your genitals if you aren't careful. Abreva is a wonderful medicine!!!!!! Worth the fifteen bucks for the tiny tube... and I'm a cheapskate!

No, why would it? Just make sure you do not perform oral when you have a cold sore.
