We'd like a place that has good hotels and good access to an airport. We'll probably stay for three days. Of course, weather is the key factor.

myrtle beach. love it there. hundreds of golf courses. try and go in early afternoon if possible.

I played at The Golf Club of Amelia Island, on Amelia Island, Florida, and thats a really nice course. The Pro Shop is right in the Ritz Charlton driveway(5 star hotel). And an airport isn't far from the hotel.

Really anywhere in the states bordering the Gulf should be decent to awesome weather. Texas for example, that's prime spring beauty time, Austin area has some great courses and it'll be greening up with flowers blooming then.
Also:

Maybe Florida, check prices.
Alabama has their semi-famous Robert Trent Jones series of courses, should be great bargains.
