I'm not saying I don't ever want kids but I'm 34 and I don't hear the clock ticking at all, if you know what I mean...

I think you'll know when you are ready as long as you aren't waiting for the perfect situation before having kids--then you'll never be ready. If you never want to have kids (and your spouse doesn't either), then don't feel like you have to. Kids are wonderful, but they are also a big commitment and a lot of work.

Just be realistic. It takes most women twice as long to get pregnant at 35 as it does at 25, and the chances of getting pregnant keep going down each year. Although it is possible to have children later in life (I just had a baby at 41), a lot of women find that they can't get pregnant in their 40's.

My husband and I were married 7 years before we had kids because we just liked being together and being married, but both of us say we would have had kids sooner if we had known how much we were going to enjoy being parents.

Well If you wait too long you run the risk of having a problem with the child, and if you do get pregnant no matter if you are healthy or not you will be a high risk pregnancy because of your age. So consider the facts, look into your options. Some people want children, and others just get dogs. Do what you feel is best for you, who said you had to have kids at all? Good Luck, and best wishes!

Don't rush into anything. It's fine if you don't want kids right now. I have two and believe they are a hand full. Having a child is a huge responsibility and you have to be ready for it. I think you will know when you are ready and don't let your friends pressure you into having one if you are not ready. Enjoy life and one day it will happen.

You are very lucky in so many ways. You can travel the world if you wanted to. You can work overtime without having to pay a tremendous amount of money for daycare. You have so much less stress. Enjoy your life, don't worry about what anyone else thinks. You can go out on a hot date any night of the week. You can live your life for you. Think about how good you have it...

Join the club! No need to reproduce..... too many unwanted kids on the planet anyways. I ended up having to find friends whose lives didn't revolve around kids.

Everyone is different. While it is the "norm" to have them in your 20's and early 30's, some couples wait until their 40's. do what feels right for you.

Yes it's normal. Some people just don't want children and there's nothing wrong with that.

everybody is doing it and we want grandchildren are
two of the worst reasons for having a child. when you are
ready you will know it and if you are never ready, then
that is all right too.
