The kittens can be sitting doing nothing when she jumps on them and bites them. At first i thought she was trying to clean them, but she is really hurting them. I do stop this.

They're telling dirty little kitten jokes - she's just punishing them in her own way... ;-)

How old is the mother? If she is under 1 year or so, she is still a kitten herself. She may be trying to play with them, but only too ruff. Does she seem aggitated when she attacks....perhaps growls? She may be trying to wean the kittens and distance herself from them. They have sharp little teeth at 8 weeks. However, use your best judgement. If you feel that the kittens are in danger....immediately separate the mother from the kittens. At 8 weeks they should be sufficient to make it on their own with some TLC. Good luck :)

Cats pick to be someplace quiet and out of the perfect way with kittens this small. They also pick their kittens now no longer be dealt with or taken away. there is continuously a 'runt' or smaller and weaker kitten however they mainly administration to get sufficient to live on until eventually they're soreness wellbeing issues. the most properly established determination is to analyze out to face up to dealing with the kittens for a minimum of a pair of weeks and perfect intervene if this kitten isn't feeding sufficient. Please do no longer forget kittens this small are very comfortable, extraordinarily their tummies so are outstanding moved by ability of their mom wearing them by ability of the scruff of their neck. in the adventure that they are disturbed too often she might want to cover them someplace a lot less accessible.

Yeah if its a first time mother they'll do that but you have to stopp it cause sometimes they will hurt or even kill the kittens. :( but if it gets to the point that the mother realy hurts or kills one of the kittens you have to seperate the mother and use a suringe to feed the kittens. You can also call the vet if the mother realy hurts one of them and he'll/she'll give you even more options to stopp the mother from doing so.

If this is her first litter, she may just be an incompetent mother. She may also have a very low level of maternal instinct. But it sounds like she may have some conflict between loving/hating her kittens.
I wouldn't breed form her again. This behaviour can be learned; her kittens will probably also be incompetent mothers.

Honestly, they're her kittens... if someone ever dare tell you that you punish your children wrong then you would be pissed. Kittens just like babies have lived for thousands of years and most of that time without anyone telling them how to do it. Best wishes

How old are her kittens??? If they are a few weeks old, she is teaching them aggression and how to fight back. If they still have their eyes shut, you need to ask a vet, as they may be hurting her when they feed from her.

Momma cats often do this to correct their kittens and have them listen to her. Just watch and let her do her job.

put an elastic band round her mouth so she cant bite
or you could attach crocodile clips which are attached to some sort of electrocution to her ears and zap the little b!tch when she bites them
or bite her back....all these are very professional approaches to this behaviour
