We pray to THE GOD through JESUS the CHRIST.
Two parts of the Trinity, so I would prefer to say : The GOD/JESUS.
~~~~~~~~
The word trinity is not in the Bible, but the indicators certainly are.
Look up Psalm 45, and Psalm 110. Both indicate THE GOD speaking to
"HIS OTHER".....also......The Trinity is indicated in 1 John 5:7 if you are using
a King James Bible (others have removed or altered same).
In the Old Testament see Isaiah 44:6 --- and His redeemer I am ---.
and Isaiah 45:11 --- And His maker --.
My favourite indicator is 1 Corinthians 15:28 ! At some point The Trinity will once
again unite because THEN there will be no need for The Trinity !
Water appears as a liquid, steam, and ice. All three are one.
A Clover leaf has three segments, it is but ONE clover.
In both situations above, three are one. Why can't THE GOD do the same?
Since both represent the trinity they each work togeter as one so I END MY PRAYER IN jesus name and when i'm really needing a friend and even when not so down I still thank my father in heaven. Hope this helps, by the way I'm having a hard time getting off the computer to pack for my move to another location please pray for our safety and money wise so I can be able to reconnect to internet soon I'd really appreciate it.
Yes, I talk to Jesus and to God when praying. I often end a prayer to the Father, asking "in the name of your son".
I pray to God the Father. I don't necessarily think that praying to Jesus is wrong (He is God), I just haven't found any scriptural evidence for it.
There is one God who is three distinct persons. (Notice I didn't say separate.) The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is equally God. I pray to all three persons of the Holy Trinity. Trinitarian monotheism defines Christianity.
Can someone show a reference in the bible to the trinity (literally) not I am one with the father etc, which non simple thinking will derive that the Son thinks and acts as the Father would have him.
I would like you to enlighten me on how the Father could talke to himself as Jesus after receiving the holy spirit in the Jordan River.
Did you read that correctly - Father said "this is my Son the beloved whom I approve" and then holy spirit came upon him.
I will absolutely believer there are 3 distinct items if you will:
The grand creator = God "Jehovah"
The Son = Jesus Christ of Nazareth "as a man"
The Holy Spirit = Gods tool to dop his will
Tell me how they are all one item ......
