...let him get it for you, say "Thank you," and Purell (sanitize) it later, or do you scream, "That's mine! Mine! Don't touch it!?"

I don't want to use my Purell unless I really have to.

I would slap myself for being such a dumb as s for dropping something in the first place. Then, I would slap myself again for being an arrogant motherfuc ker. Why would I belittle a perfect stranger who DID NOT have to do a damn thing for me, but took their time to bend over to pick up something ... for my dumb as s.

Your mother raised a moron!

Well they may appear vile, but their good deed makes them more than what the outside would have ever showed you.

Consider it a lesson to avoid making snap judgements of people, and don't act like that Purell didn't cost you more than 4 dollars, lol...

I would say thank you if he/she got it for me. I would only use Purell on my hands if when he/she gave it to me while holding my hands for no odd reason or trying to touch them now that would be creapy deffinitly some Purell and shower with rubbing alcohol lol.

So what you're really saying that people who don't look "vile" are somehow also clean and pure and have no germs or "cooties". Someone you find to be less than aesthetically pleasing is also more germ laden than someone you find attractive, is that your premise? Face it, we live in a dirty world. And think on this and try to sleep tonight: that beautiful stranger picking up your item, you never know where their hands have been :)

do people know how many germs we touch on a daily basis? there are more germs on a shopping cart handle than on a bathroom stall doorknob. we have become such a germaphobic society, we are making ourselves sick because we are not letting our immune systems work the way it is supposed to. if it really bothers you, use your Purell, you can buy more.

Just say "thank you"....and by the way....do you freely open doors without using Purell?

I say "Thank you," try not to touch the object directly, and sanitize it later, & avoid eye contact with that person.

No you just let them have whatever they have touched. That is what people usually do when I pick up their stuff. I have earned a lot of great stuff that way.

No matter how they look, that person was being polite. If it didn't seem as though they were about to snatch it and run, just except the kind gesture. You don't have to look perfect to be polite, you know.

I say thank you. I only scream and punch him if he tries to pinch my ***.
I think I am immune to germs, and it's a good way to develop a resistance, surely :-)
