..."I will bless those who bless you and i will curse those who curse you."

This is shocking to me.. as no loving God would discriminate against people and condone the killing of the innocent no matter what. If so,his love means nothing and is a burden on humanity. This blind support is Unjust, and causing havoc in the ME. How could you favor this ticket to heaven (as some call it ) when blood is smothered all over it?

I am for the interest of stabity and peace and everyone to live in harmony and this ideology causes a major setback.

My intention was to question the veiw some chrsitians have of God, as He is the All-Just, All-knowing, and Most Merciful. So, how can anyone attribute injustice to Him? how can supporting any injustice please God? and they'll actually be rewarded for it?

The Israelites were praised in the Quran as God's chosen people, but Allah (swt) had some harsh criticim towards some of them when some sinned and promised them punishment in the hereafter.

Injustice is injustice, it can never be attributed to the Al-mighty nor do any sin. Our sins are our fault. God commands us to please him and please humanity and not spread mischeif. Rewards us for things as simple as planting a tree, remove a rock from the middle of the road, smiling at one another in kindness, ..etc. No difference if your a Jew, Christians, Muslim. Our stay here is temporary, so what we are a witness to is a test from God to see if we will forbid evil, and spread good.

Even the Prophets of Ancient Israel had harsh critcism of them when they wronged “O Israel, return to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity” (Hosea 14: 1); “Woe to those who devise iniquity, and work out evil on their beds…[who] covet fields and take them by violence, also houses, and seize them” (Micah 2: 1-2) to them, upholding God’s standards of justice and righteousness is the path to God's blessings.

Because they are incapable of analytical thought. They are so accutomed to reading the bible and takingit literally that, when faced with the news on television, they cannot think beyond exactly what is said.

A deeper understanding of the issues, gained by a bit of research can uncover the truth of the problem in the middle east. This is too difficult for them though.

They need to look past the brainwashing and start questioning the established opinions and form some of their own

using Love is an adolescent way to complain about getting spanked. I can't stand when people say that the God of Love doesn't kick someone's behind because what kind of God would He be then. God is our parent. He is there to teach us, sometimes the easy way, and sometimes the hard way, the difference between right and wrong, BUT WE MAKE THE CHOICE. It is not God's fault if a parent chooses to beat the hell out of his child for no good reason. It is not God's fault when Israell takes matters into their own hands and kills their attackers in a 100 to 1 ratio. But remember, Israel was attacked FIRST, and they live in an area where they are HATED by all those around them. This is not recent hate because they were given back their state. This hatred goes back over 5 THOUSAND YEARS, and has been taught through generation and generation. While I do not condone their actions, I can certainly understand them.

Apparently you are too young to recall all the times Israel has been attacked by their neighbors. There have been wars thrust upon them since the inception of their state. The more recent ones have been by terrorists but, continue unabated. When someone invades yoiur country and kills your people plus taking hostages, would you not feel rather indignant?

When there has been 3 wars in the last 40 years, would you not be concerned about protecting your people?

Even the arab nations are not condemning Israel this time.. they are condemning Hezbollah. A strange turnaround for them.

Would suggest you come back to the reality of this world and not dwell in a dream world. What you desire is commendable but it won't happen, as long as there is a country that is determined to wipe Israel and Israelis off the map.

I think that people have a rather postmodern view of the middle east, but the middle east is not postmodern by any means. Israel is bordered on all sides by countries that for thousands of years have been bent on destroying them. Not hurting, not defaming, they want to wipe Israel off the face of the planet. Kill. Cease to exist. There doesn't need to be anything more causing havoc in the middle east, the middle east has been in havoc for the last several millenia.

People often get mad at the idea that God told Israel in the Old Testament to wipe out a neighboring country. Well guess what, they didn't always do it, and the ones they didn't wipe out, guess what, they have been trying to kill Israel ever since.

When you are in a fight with someone, not just a war, things are not the way they are in the comic books. There isn't a KO before death all the time where you can spare your enemy's life so that they can go rethink their motivation. When you are fighting someone, you have to be willing to accept the fact that it is possible that one of you will die in the fight. If someone breaks into my home in the middle of the night, I wouldn't stop to try to knock them out with my gun, I would shoot them until they stopped moving. If that means they don't die, great, but it probably means they will die. Does that mean I want to kill people? No. But if I don't kill them, my family may die as a result. Their actions have caused me to need to lethally defend my family.

There isn't going to be harmony. There isn't going to be peace. Israel knows this. All of the countries around Israel know this. Nobody wants to be the one wiped out, so they will kill their enemies given the opportunity to prevent themselves from being killed when the tables are turned. That's the way it is, that's the way it's always going to be. It's sad, yes, but that is reality.

You read it for yourself. We may not understand why God says things, but our minds are finite. I don't think you have to say everything Israel does is right, but God will pour out His judgment on the nations who do not defend Israel. I don't know about you, but I'd prefer to stay away from God's wrath. It's all in the Bible, I know the book of Daniel is very interesting, and many of the prophecies in that book have all ready taken place. I know I'm in no position to say my ideas are better than God's, though. I guess the way I look at it is, if I have an opinion, and I find out the Bible has a different opinion, I will take God's opinion over my own even though it is blind faith. Faith is believing without seeing.

As a Christian, I think any country has the right to defend itself from being attacked. Unfortunately, it's always the innocent that get hurt & killed. I don't like that part of the defending, no matter what country it is. In America's own Civil War, brother killed brother, just for the right to be free. Whether or not it was a "just" war isn't up to debate. It killed a lot of innocent people. It destroys more lives and property than many people can bear. And to those who are under the bombs, it goes beyond what the majority of us can even imagine. I admit that I don't know the whole story. The bits and pieces of what network TV throw our way is often lacking, and often slanting it in a way that does no one any good. For those who are a praying people, we need to pray for this conflict to stop as soon as possible. For those who are directly involved with this, we need to pray for their safety and that it will be done soon. I know that these two countries have been battling for years, and that they'll probably never get along. It's my hope (and prayer) that if they can't get along, then at least learn to ignore each other. At least no one would die anymore. Personally, I think they both need to be satisfied with the land they now occupy and not demand to have what their neighbor has. That's just plain greedy. Of course, that's just my limited opinion. <*)))><

We love an underdog. Weren't Christians the underdogs and the outnumbered and out muscled during the early days in Rome? I agree that there should be more of a balance. There is blame to share on both sides. Guilt is one factor. The west did little to help the Jews during WWII. Roosevelt was unreceptive to the plight of the Jews before our entry for fear of antagonizing Germany. We could have done so much more. Israel in many ways is a make-up call. A way of salving our collective guilt. Their needs to be a Jewish national state, but the rights of the Palestinians should be honored as well.

What blind support is that deeire? The Isralites are the means to an end. The Western (Christian nations) support Israel against the weaker Arabs with an aim to sufficiently diverting their resources for a triumphant march back into Jerusalem. That's why Israel is being supported...both the Arabic and Hebrew nations are being manipulated to accomplish what the Crusades failed to do. This is based ON FACTUAL information. PEACE!

Well, I hate to be the one to tell you, but in case you haven't read the bible, we have been at war since the beginning. It is not a war of weapons and bloodshed, but a spiritual war against a spiritual enemy. There is no such thing as a Christian pacifist because we are all fighting a war against Satan. Because people fall prey to Satan's will, this war sometimes comes to surface in our physical world. Are we just to put up with terrorists and hatred? Are we to stand by as the people of Isreal are persecuted still? Our support of Isreal is not blind. You are blind because you do not see what kind of hatred and evil Isreal has had to defend against.

There is no stability in the physical world, there is no peace except with God. If your heart is with Him, you have peace. There can be no harmony as long as Satan is free to roam the earth. It has been prophesized that there will not be peace in the middle east until Jesus returns. Whose side are you on? The enemy already has you convinced there is no war.

Almost every country over there by Israel is muslim and they are all protesting against Israel and looking for the country to be wiped off of the map. Israel is God's country. That is the holy land that Abraham was promised would be his after he traveled in the desert for 40yrs with his people. I see the situation over there now and I thought it was stupid at first, but Israel is trying to tear down the terrorists over there in Lebonan to keep them from coming back and terrorizing Israel. Israel is a major part in biblical times and in the end time prophecy. So, what is going on over there now may end up being what will eventually lead to WW3. WW3 is supposed to be nations against Israel to destroy it. That is God's country and he will watch over it and protect his people. I think Israel is trying to protect herself.
