I met this guy on a dating website. We have been talking more than a week or so and we both live in the same city. He asked me approximately a week ago if I would like to meet him for coffee at a local coffee shop near where I live next weekend. I said sure and I then asked him should we confirm next week about this potential date. Well, it has been a week and he has not asked me about the potential date for this weekend. I feel it is perhaps too foward to ask him if we are still on for this potential weekend date because he is the one who asked me if I would like to meet him next week. What should I do?

I forgot to mention, I'm in my twenties and so is he.

Write a quick note something to the effect: "Hi, just wanted to check if we're still on for this weekend." It's not too forward. Don't worry.

Just ask....stop being so chicken. You're not going to get anywhere if you don't start being forward. It's 2 days away from the weekend and you have every right to confirm your plans so you can adjust any weekend plans of your own accordingly. To me it's a courtesy thing.

Go for it. Just do it in a casual manner.
