anyone any info on what I can do to relieve the pain? I've been told they can't operate cos of othercomplications

No. twinsters, there are 2 forms and mine is extra bone growth of the spine which is pressing on my nerve and causing pain

Please see the webpages for more details on Cervical Spondylosis. This is due to the degeneration of the whole intervertebral disc, with new bone formation at the periphery of the disc. Commonly called "osteo-arthritis of spine".

My mum has that too, can be very painful. Heat treatment can sometimes help, or a bit of physio but watch as this may do more harm than good. u will have good days and bad days, I suggest u wear a neck brace on ur bad days just rnd the house. codydramol painkillers may help the pain

it's not an abnormal bones, it's thinning of the bones and crumbling of the bones. go to a chyropracter.drink milk go swimming do neck exercises gently. use heat on it, i find that works for me a heat pillow, take cod-liver oil tablets.

i am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and i can highly recommend an acupuncture/acupressure. i know because I am an acupuncturist as well as a masseur,herbal practitioner.

my husband has this painful condition. he takes ibuprofen, but dont take too many as they rot your stomach lining.

you say other complications one can not say to take medication but i do genuinely suggest acupuncture and no is does not hurt
