A friend of mine and 2 of his classmates were given permission to go into the faculty room during summer school to insert letters into envelopes. Their teacher also allowed them to take out the food from the refrigerator so this girl took out a chicken pot pie and microwaved it. After it was eaten, a teacher came in and asked them what they were doing.

Obviously, he was butthurt over the fact that his chicken pot pie was gone so he told them to leave [but his tone didn't seem serious and they didn't know if he was kidding or not]. Then he threatened to call security, so they left. They were called to the office and were told that they were expelled. ["They were being defiant"]

Should something be done about this or was the teacher right? [I'm pretty sure he's just a ********.]

No he clearly said that they could take the food out, microwave it, and eat it.

Their teacher also talked to the vice principal and that other teacher. Even the lunch lady was invovled. geez

Afterwards, the VP told them that she had to do what the teacher asked her to do.

But isn't the VP of higher authority than a regular teacher?

Oh. That's right. She was the nurse.

I'd expect adults to have better judgement than THAT.

I mean, seriously...expulsion is crossing the line.

everyone knows that refrigerators in a place of work are not a free for all... you bring your own lunch and eat it everyday. Your friends should have been old enough to understand that you can't just take what is someone elses. I think they must of mis-heard what the teacher said. He probably was allowing them use of the fridge to store their own lunches, not to eat other peoples.
however exspelltion is a bit harsh.

The two students should have told who the teacher was that had them stuff the envelopes and let them eat! I"m sure if you get everyone together parents, the two teachers and the principle it can all be resolved. It just sounds like there is more to this story!
