Homosexuality is a Sin.

Matthew 6:24 says
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."

But! that's not saying she isn't a Christian. She may very well be a Christian. But she can't be walking with God and living that kindof lifestyle. She isn't in his will if she is living that kind of lifestyle. Sin is Sin. Just as overeating or smoking. Fat people can be Christians and so can smokers or murder's. We all sin.....but its when we live in that sin that we are going against everything Jesus came to teach us.

Jesus says it is better to be cold than luke warm. He wants us to be on fire for him, b/c it is better for us not to know him at all, than to know his word and choose to disobey.

The best thing you can do for your friend is pray for her to walk in God's will. Pray for God to work in her heart and show her what he would have for her. B/c his will is the best for all of us.

Yes, you can be gay & still be a Christian...the Bible says, 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'...'Judge not that you be not judged'...'God is Love'...'Love others as you love yourself'...

I have a friend who is gay & Jewish, observes all the Jewish holidays, etc....I have a friend who is gay & has a degree in theology...They believe in God.

Yes, the Bible does say homosexuality is a sin. That was written during the culture of that day...before they understood about body chemistry. Animals can also be attracted to the same sex...in other words....'gay'...in the same mathmatical proportion as humans...or humans in the same proportions as animals, which ever way you want to put.it. Animals do not choose to be 'gay'...they are born that way. So can be humans.

Sin is sin. We choose to label as sin those things which we do not understand & which we think wrong. Unless you experience it, it is very difficult to understand it. Walk a mile in their moccasins...so to speak. God is a great big God...He understands what we cannot.

And no I am not gay. To the two people above me...Suicide is also forgivable (I know...Guess why) & to the other person, there most certainly is a God (Again I know...and again, guess why)...Could it be that I understand something about suicide & God that you don't...& could it be that I understand something about God that you don't?...Perhaps, that the Loving Jesus will meet you & ask why did you run away from the school of life. That is a question, not condemnation...and that is what He said to me.

There is a book entitled 'Your God Is Too Small'...perhaps that is true about all of us.

Cheers, Nala

Oh, one other thought...Love the people, Love the people, Love the people...That will solve a lot of problems.

Why not? Gender preference isn't always a matter of choice. Should a person be condemed for what they feel or who they love? Remember when the bible was written. Society is much more accepting now (though not totally). If, indeed, we are all created in God's image, then would it not stand to reason that he would accept us as we are? As human beings, we have the potential to be anything we want. The members of a church may not accept, but who says you have to go to a church to believe in a religion?

God loves every single person on this earth. No one is perfect ....we've all lied, swore, took the Lord's name in vain..etc . According to the Bible no one sin is any worse than another with the exception of suicide. So unless your perfect which your not....stop worrying about your friend and ask your self if judging others is a Christian thing to do?

There is a lesbian couple that goes to my church. I don't know if everyone agrees with it. It does say in the bible that homosexuality is wrong. I wouldn't know what to tell her. I don't agree with it, but I don't believe that you can tell someone that they can't be a christian because you are homosexual.

the Bible is against homosexuality. if she doesn't want to hear it from you ,you can pray for her, so God can show her the truth himself. you never know God can speak to her through a message or something. you shouldn't be bothered too much about it, because it's in the Bible.

Absolutely, being a Christian means you have accepted Christ as your saviour. Nothing in the Bible says that you can't be a Christian for any reason.

Sure, why not, I'm a member of the Republican party, and I also have a Vons Club card, neither seem to give me much grief about it.

I don't see why not. Why can't a lesbian believe in God? It's all about a belief.

I believe you can. Since science discovered that people are born with their sexual orientations set - why would God not want you to worship Him? He created you.
