Modbus RTU and Moticon RTU?

Are modbus RTU and Moticon RTU the same protocol? If not, what are the significant differences and could you point me to a source idicating such/drivers, etc.

Modbus is the protocol developed by Modicon to talk with a
RTU (Remote Terminal Unit)
