I've supported him since he was 19 and I was 15 and thats a good seven years. Surely its about time he won a major. He's good enough and he did quite well today.

I guess sergio thinks hes got a chance, or there would be no point in being there. Hold on if thats true whys faldo playing!

I would love to see Sergio win it but he always seems to lose it somewhere during the 4 days of a Major. Thereafter he appears uninterested as probably he feels he has lost his chance. His putting seems to the problem in recent times which is hard to believe when you think of the Ballesteros' and Olazabals. I always felt the Spaniards were "feel" putters but Sergio seems to have gone more mechanical. He is a great talent and lets hope he fulfills it and not become another Monty.

To answer your question, I would think there are some people who think Sergio has a chance to win the open. I happen tobe one of them, although I will be rooting for lefty.
