After all, it's about Faith. What makes one person's faith more valid than another person's faith?

It's not always the entire religion, but the way someone interprets what they are supposed to do. Certain religions, however do expect their followers to "spread the word."

What people don't realize is that pushing their beliefs on someone is only going to drive them further away. If they really wanted people to follow them, they would lead by example. In leading by example, people will naturally be interested and more willing to learn. In their own way, they are spreading the word in a non-aggressive manner.

Unfortunately, the world is full of people who think and believe what they want to believe. I get angry when I hear people say that they killed or harmed others as their religion demanded them to do. Those people are extremists and have misinterpreted the basic beliefs of their religion.

The same goes for those who judge others: pointing fingers or deciding who will go to heaven/hell/be reincarnated as a bug is wrong. Humans don't have the power to determine the spiritual fate of anyone else.

For those who have no faith, hopefully someday they will be spiritually enlightened. Otherwise, what would the purpose of our existence be if we had nothing to live for? It is not up to me however to press upon others my beliefs. I only give them if asked for.

I guess people just fear the unknown. They think in making everyone the same they are doing something good.

That's because all the religions believe in that some special person in whom they have faith invested in, and to get the dividends it needs followers.

The one thing everyone in world lacks and fails to understand is that we are all humans and it is here for all of us to see and believe and there is no big religion than humanity and love. Hope oneday there would be enough people who believe in it and spread love around and make this planet a better place to live in for one and all.

If a person is happy and not a follower of their religion, they find it very threatening, and simply don't understand it. It contradicts the idea that you must believe in THEIR faith in order to be happy.

Because God told them that all others are wrong in their faith. This is the one true faith and if you cannot convert them to the Faith of Peace, then let them Rest In Peace.

Just some obnoxious, overweening arrogance that they are right and you are wrong.

Because if you dont believe just what I do youre going to HELL!

People are told what to believe and they want to follow. Most religions say they are the only one and then it trickes down to everyone is going to hell if they arent the same religion the same denomination, if they do not believe just like you then they are all going to hell. Hell must be a very big place...

I do not believe this and I never will. I know Im not god and its not my place to judge others and I believe in a free america who lives in peace.

I absolutely agree with you. Unfortunately, most of the 'established' religions feel the need to push themselves on everyone in an effort to grab as many followers (and their money) as possible.

Certain Religions are missionary faiths. It is part of the religion to preach and gain converts. As annoying and invasive as that is they are in their eyes fulfilling their religious duty.

The religion should be one's personal choice not to be pushed down the throats. This is my opinion.

They simply believe that everyone else is wrong and it is their duty to "save our immortal souls". Kind of funny when you think about how some of them go about it. War in the name of god. Murder of innocent people who are unbelievers. Bombing clinics who do "the devil's work". Kind of ironic. Spread the word of a loving god by any means necessary. If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny.

when i was a christian i just wanted people to see my point of view. Now im not a christian i still want people to see my point of view. Although lots of pushing of a religion is usually one of the main parts of it, like a chain letter.
