Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three distinct but not separate identities of one Being. It can be confusing, because there's no counterpart of it here on Earth. But God is spirit, and as such is not subject to physical limitations. Just as He can be in many places at one "time," so He can exist in more than one Presence. I don't think any of us will fully understand until we stand before Him, if ever. Our little minds can't compass the fullness of Almighty God, any more than a ladybug can understand quantum physics.

The Bible also says I will pour out my Spirit on man-kind This gets me to the point of how I view the Trinity. If you understand that tri means 3, you will be able to follow my reasoning. I view the Trinity as simply an upside down triangle. Father on the left, Son on the right and the Holy Spirit at the bottom. The Holy Spirit comes from both the Father and the Son.

The Father created all things
The Son became a human being to save the world
The Holy Spirit brings people to faith in Christ and makes them the holy people of God
This is the Triune God, or the Holy Trinity.
Each person is true God, but there are not 3, but only one.
Thankfully, we are not meant to understand, but to believe.

This is why so many people, myself included, think the Bible is a load of crap. The trinity is the Father (God), the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit (faith). However, Jesus was not only God's son, but was like a reincarnation of God. Personally, I don't see why they can't explain it because it isn't philisophical or anything, plus the Celtic Trinity (Mind, Body, Spirit) has been around for thousands of years before the time of Christianity.

Well my friend, you better believe that these 3 characters are 1. Why? Because Jesus told his disciples that and also because it is written in the Bible.
Imagine an EGG, is has 3 parts, the shell, the transparent (white) stuff and the yellow (yolk?). You can name and separate each part, but they will always be a part of the EGG. The 3 together, are called an EGG.
I know, I know.... sorry. It is a matter of faith, and I believe what the Word says. God bless

the seen trinity is as follows: You and me are made out of three aspects, we are made out of flesh, bone, and blood. yet you have one suggestions. The flesh does not think of one after the different from the bones, etc. One suggestions regulations the full physique. What the suggestions wills, the blood and bones and flesh carry out. yet on the comparable time they're all 3 unique. the clarification for the trinity and if your questioning basically how can 3 separate 'issues' in the bible be one and the comparable yet separate? the respond is with the help of the fact all 3 of those 'issues' (father, son holy spirit) have the suggestions-blowing comparable function characteristics. they're all referenced in the texts as being 'he', so all 3 substitute right into a sentient individual, all of them have the characteristics of being those with intelligence, even the holy spirit. i might quote you verses yet there are various to call i might positioned up a million/2 of the recent testomony. re-study the gospels and save that for the period of suggestions nonetheless. Secondly you requested the thank you to view God? No guy can view God, actually. Our eyes can no longer cope with that quantity of love and gentle-weight. The divine gentle makes up what God is. a million john a million:5 says God is gentle. a million john 4:8 says that God is love. those 2 are the terrific descriptions in the full bible that make up God the daddy (the daddy of lighting fixtures - James a million:17). to no longer point out Jesus widespread quote "i'm the gentle of the worldwide" (John 8:12). He became into conversing actually right here, he became into the gentle of the worldwide (Revelation 22:sixteen, Genesis a million:3). The trinitarian theory is a problematic one to draw close i visit confess, I not at all grew up around faith and subsequently did no longer understand what the trinity became into. I study the bible distinctive circumstances and studied this and that's INFACT in the bible after analyzing it. The trinity is the genuine deal. the daddy of lighting fixtures, the only Begotton Son, and the Holy Spirit are ONE (1st john 5:7 KJV). area-notice: All of it relatively is genuine, yet I additionally choose you to appreciate the temple of the Holy Spirit now's in our hearts (after Christ died). 1st Corinthians 6:19-20. so we are able to all be partakers in being sons of light: Luke sixteen:8 John 12:36 God bless

people keep asking this question....
...Several possible explanations for the Trinity; I will not try to cover them all, just my favorite. Keep in mind that a human can never completely understand God since he is something beyond our experience (Note, I did NOT say that we cannot understand God because our thinking is "sinful", as one smart mouth, above, said. I said that we humans are limited in both our experience and in our reasoning ability).
C.S. Lewis thought that the Son was begotten by the Father in the same way as a flame begets heat & light. The light of the flame is the natural "expression" of the flame that it creates by its very existence. So, God the Son is begat by the Father by the very existence of the Father (John, in the beginning of his Gospel, refers to Jesus as the "logos" (literally "word"), or "expression" of the Father).
And C.S. Lewis theorized that God the Holy Spirit might be the spirit of love that exists between the Father and the Son. It is the nature of God that his spirit has a life and mind of its own.
Try reading "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. You do not have to read it all; you can skip ahead to the chapters where he deals with the Trinity.

God is God. He is omnipotent-all knowing all powerful. It's confusing to me, too, but this is how I see it. Jesus was sent to earth to save mankind from the curse of sin. Jesus had to die because there is no remission for sin without bloodshed. Not just any blood-the blood of the spotless lamb. Jesus is the only one in history who was a man in a natural body, but also God which is why He was able to remain pure. I think the power of the Holy Spirit(who is also God) dwelt in Jesus before it could be with any of us. After Jesus died and was resurrected, He told His disciples that He would send the Holy Spirit to take His place on earth. By the Holy Spirit, they and we have the strength to carry out the great commission. Please check me on this, but that's how I see it. But if the Bible proves me wrong, I'm wrong. It is confusing, but it's nice to know we have so much help out there!

Moe, Larry, Curly.
God originally was the jealous, petty, capricious, mass-murdering psychopathic Abrahamic diety of desert monotheism that is described in the Old Testament... Yahweh... Jehovah... whatever. Christians seem to think that around 2,000 years ago, god developed some kind of Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD), in which he manifested a hippie-like personality (Jesus... spent some time on earth... can now be eaten in the form of a cracker), and some Casper the Ghost-like character with pedophilic tendencies (suspected of having impregnated a 12 or 13 year-old virgin... and being honored for it).
