5'5 and 142 for a boy is not much. I'd encourage him to be more active for health reasons, but he's really not overweight.

No, well kind of, but that is an odd age, you should try keeping him off the computer games and video games and TV and go out with him to play football basketball or football, hey get a whole team of his friends together and they could have like a weekly game at a local gym! Good Luck!

Sounds within the range of acceptable. He is definatley not obese. Read recently where people with a little extra body fat are actually healthier, contrary to what we have been told for the last 100 years. Go figure. It kinda makes sense, they are well nourished with a little extra stored for emergency use. That is what the purpose of fat is anyway.

not for his size. However, I would encourage lots of physical activity. If it's fat we are dealing with, he's young enough to turn that into muscle real fast. if it's muscle he's already got then make sure his cholesterol is in good levels.

He's fine. Check out this chart. More importantly, does he eat good, sleep good, and get plenty of exercise. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhanes/growthcharts/set1clinical/cj41l021.pdf
