I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

Well yes he is a bit overweight, the normal size for a 13 year old and at 5'5 should most likely be 120 or less. As he gets taller and older the body fat will melt but if he continues to slack on exercise he will gain more.

Yes he is. Dont tell him he is over weight but make him do something physical every day or go take a walk and talk with him every day. Dont tell him why just tell him it is a good way to waste time. Or get him involved in alot of sports and start only buying healthy foods.

He is about 20 lbs overweight. Cycling is an excellent form of physical activity.

No - I think he is fine. He will probably have a growth spurt in the next year or two and he will stretch out a lot. Don't worry. Get him off the couch though. Activity is good.

Yes he's a bit chubby.
You have to set the tone and make exercise more fun than TV.
So pony up or quit nagging the boy, Mom.

Please...take your son to a doctor and have him examined and give you recommendations about his weight. He absolutely should be getting more exercise, however. Even if he's a perfect weight, he should be more active.

I think that seems pretty average. He is very tall for his age! I wouldnt worry about 142lbs. He is going through puberty too so I am sure he has a high motabalism as it is.

You should seek the opinion of a doctor, not some people on the internet for this one.
