Yes. Black henna is not exactly henna, but indigo leaves, and it gives you a lovely blue/black shade. Make sure that you buy the best organic indigo, though, the emphasis here is in 100% organic. Some dyes sold as "Black Henna" are composed of chemical dyes other than henna or indigo, and the colour result is not only nasty, but they can be a health hazard depending on what they contain. You can find good quality black henna or indigo in an organic beauty store near you or on the internet. One brand I really like is Hennalucent, which I found in Sally´s Beauty supply. Check out websites below.
And make sure you test the final colour result of the henna by mixing a small amount and applying it to hair collected from your hairbrush, let it work for 90 minutes, rinse and check it out. That will be how your hair will come out.

No no....henna can never give blue, it can be red in its different shades or reddish black but never blue
and by the way if u have dyed your hair using henne you have to wait for long time before using chemical dying products or you may "burn" your hair..blue blck is nice but u wont be able to change it easily in the future it may harm your hair so think twice before dyeing it

If you didn't want to do permenent dye, I would use Loreal Paris 2 week hair dye. It works really good. You can get it at wal-mart and it comes in a copper colored box. It only costs like $5.

Try herbal essences Colorflirt. They come in all sorts of bold colors, and wash out in two weeks, so you can see if you like it or not. I think Garnier Fructis also makes a blue-black hair color, but it is more permanent.
