Germans are NOT warmongers! They didn't start WWI, a Serbian name Josef Prinz did.
Other nations like France, England, and the U.S. could very well deserve that title more than Germany. The first nursing home was founded in Germany in the 1500's. Germany was the first nation to institute old age pensions, welfare for the poor, social security, and uninversal healthcare, all in 1890's. Germany has alot to be proud of, but all small minded Americans can think of is the 12 year occupation by an AUSTRIAN psychopath. Germany is truly the best.

Hi SillySherry
I was born in Germany and I think it's very nice there. I have heard from alot of people that went to Germany think Germans are very polite. Like America , Germany has black sheep's too. Germany has great food, Beer and alot of things to see. Now to all the ones that hate Germany because of WWI and WWII , you can't hate all Germans because of what Germans did back than. America has done his things too should Europeans hate the Americans because of that. I think not. Why do we Germans now still have to suffer cause of what Hitler did. Most Germans do not agree with what he did just like some Americans don't agree with what bush is doing. You can't judge Germans by what one person did. Go to Germany see what it's like and than you can answer Shelly's question.

I can't wait to visit Germany... the language, the history, the architecture. I had a friend who just got back from touring Europe and he said, while he loved the language in France, he absolutely loved Germany the most. He talked about the great nightlife in Berlin... and met lots of great people. I intend to visit when I get to vacation and travel in Europe, if you have the chance, you should definitely do it too.

A very interesting country. Cradle of knowledge, and learning. Many cultured people came from Germany. Their mistake was to accept hitler ( which was austrian ). It is the only country that reunified after the fall of the wall of Berlin

I think they are war-mongerers. When the wrong person gets into power there, they start causing trouble. WWI and WWII stemmed from that country. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
