I'm A Sunni Muslim and I believe that Only god can start the end times. I also think that People of religions, Muslims Jews and Christians, should start respect and live with each others in peace. They are supposed to set a good example for non believer so they can start have some faith. Yet they're all acting like children. PEACE;o)

As a Muslim, I am very distraught by this. Now, I haven't heard this in the news, but I will believe you that he said this. A man, Muslim or not, can never know whether or not Allah chose him to end this conflict. It's true, the conflict needs to end, but Islam preaches patience and a peaceful way to end conflicts, not war unless that is the only way left.
It's sad and the only thing Muslims and other God loving human beings can do is pray that it will end soon and there will be peace.

i do not believe he made that statement. considering the end of times are not here yet. i believe that you must have heard this rumor either through an idiotic person you know or a misguided media. we all know that the american media is corrupt and NEVER tells the whole story. there are many signs that have to pass before the end of the world in which have not come about. so how can i believe someone as knowledgable of the quran as the iranian predident is would say such a thing.

1) All Muslims follow Islam. "Muslim and Islamic faiths" is saying the same thing...like Christians and Christianity faiths....there is only one Christian faith, maybe different sects but they are all called Christians.....likewise, there are different sects in Islam but there is only one Islamic faith..
2) Did he say that? I didnt see that on the news but if he did...i have no idea why. If he really believes it, he's gone crazy. Allah would never instruct someone to start war and bring on "the end times." The end times are a result of man's failure to adhere to God's Laws...its not someting God has inflicted on us. And actually, all Muslims know this.
He probably said it to scare his enemies...tactical warfare...

Who told him he was chosen by Allah?? exactly my point. He is not allowed to anoint him self, he has no authority to say that he has been chosen by Allah.
end times final conflict by bringing on war?? that's contradictory!!!
Allah never loves the starter of wars
His statement is not Islamic

He believes that in bringing about chaos into the world he will hasten the return of an Islamist messiah. This messiah will bring peace to the world and of course force everyone on the face of the planet to convert to Islam.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

I would say he needs psychiatric help. Anyone no matter the belief system that wants to do that much harm is not mentally balanced.

he is mentally ill and should be hospitalized. Anyone who claims to be chosen by God is mentally ill. That is so obvious. Why don't people see that?
