>>>They defined Christmas to be on the 25th of December, the birthday of the Roman sun-god<<<
If anything, that was to show that Christ was real and the Roman sun-god was not.
Otherwise, there's probably no big reason for this.
>>>They moved the Christian Sabbath from Saturday to the Roman Sun-day (Dies Soli), the holy day of the sun-god Apollo<<<
That's only because Christ's Resurrection occured on a Sunday. There's no other reason.
If it had happened on a Monday or a Thursday, you'd be claiming that it happened on some other Roman god's holy day.
>>>They borrowed the emblem of the Roman sun God, the cross of light, to be the emblem of Christianity.<<<
No, "they" didn't. The cross was the object on which Christ suffered and died for us. Any resemblance to any other emblem is pure coincidence.
There are a lot of cross-shaped objects and emblems in the world. But similarity doesn't always imply anything. More often than not, it's mere coincidence.
>>>Before this, the official symbol of Christianity was that of a fish, a symbol of the last supper <<<
For many Christians around the world, it still is.
Wow, you threw up some easy softballs for me to hit today. Throw me some more challenging pitches next time.

Just maybe:
- The cross is the christian symbol because their hope is based on the Son of God who died on one.
- The Sunday is the new Sabbath because that was the day Jesus rose from the dead.
I'm not sure why 25th Dec is xmas but it's nothing to do with the Romans. For the most part of the early centuries it was celebrated in April and has been stated as being several different dates since then. It settled on the 25th Dec long after the Roman empire died.
I do actually think the basis for Xmas being the 25th is rfom a pagan day relating to Sun Worship but it wasn't Roman.

The reason for all of this is simple. The early Christian church needed new recruits. They began recruiting in the pagan communities. To make Christianity more palatable to the pagans, they incorporated many pagan elements into Christianity. Some examples are the cross, Christmas, Easter, the immaculate conception, the heavenly host, the Trinity, the resurrection, the healing of the sick, and many more.

I'm a christian and I don't believe that Dec. 25 is the day the Lord was born, but it's just another day of glorifying him to me. Some crockpot leader probably moved the holiday to that day, there are many reasons. Stop worrying about what man is doing. Does it say in the bible anywhere that he was born Dec. 25? Okay then, this question doesn't make the bible any less true. The cross was what Jesus died on, who cares what people used it for before Him, were they important in any way? Think about this stuff, research before you ask these questions, sir....

I don't see anything wrong with the picture. Sounds like it worked pretty well, instead of conforming to the pegan celabrations the Christians chose to have their own celibrations on the same days. As far as the cross, I'm not sure that was taken from the Roman Sun God as much as it was used because Jesus was crucified on it, it probably wasn't used much intially, because it would be like using the electric chair to represent someone who was excuted now days, far to comon at the time to have sugfficance. However now it does have sugnficance as it's not a common way to die anymore.

There were a lot of things that were borrowed from other religions. But it was a case that the Church wanted to use symbolism that people could relate to, like the fire symbol used by the United Methodist Churches or the streaked cross now used by the Baptist churches.

I don't know that there is anything wrong with the picture.
Can one point out any belief that has not been influenced by man? Any belief system can be hijacked and used for bad purposes. A short list
Capitalism
Atheism
Communism
Socialism
Protestantism
Catholicism
Islam
Buddhism
Nationalism
Environmentalism
Civil Rights
etc.
Need I continue. Some people are altruistic and others are self serving. I don't think Jehovah, Jesus, or Allah would be happy with any of us.

It was easier for the early Romans to accept a religion that was familiar to them.
