I have huge, curly hair. I can't ever wear it down, no matter how much gel or moose (sp?) I put in it. Does anybody know of any good products or styling ideas for people with huge, thick, poofy, extremely curly hair?

I feel your pain ... I share the problem. And I am sick of people telling me how lucky I am to have curls. That's BS if you gotta live with it.

I used orange juice cans (washed and rinsed) and dippity do to "set" my hair and make it smoother in the sixties. Don't use a blow dryer, but let it air dry to keep the frizz down. I also ironed it but that dried it out then. Today you can get curls straightened by a hair stylist, or you can buy one of those nifty flat irons and make it straight or at least smooth.

have it chemically straightened, it would work better for you, make sure u go somewhere reputable for doing that kind of work, youwill only need to retouch the roots every 3-4 mths once its straight it will stay straight, even in moist, rain, wont be poker straight but pretty close, and you will just need to quick dry, and quick run over with straightners to finish if your going out. dont forget products though protect well from heat when you use them...And the odd hot oil treatment and good shampoo and conditioning, and leave in conditioners are good too, curly hair is always very dry by nature,

I use Tresemme Anti Frizz Secret($4)for my frizzy hair. And I use Garnier Curling mousse and gel($3 each) when i want curls and they both work really well.

Make sure you use Frizz Ease and some styling lotion, not gel, so that it doesn't look crunchy.
