In some parts of the world the wedding ring and engagement ring are worn on the right hand (Russia, Germany and some other European countries).

You wear both rings on the left ring finger. The wedding band is put on first (closest to your heart) and the engagement ring on top of the wedding ring. That is why there are bridal sets that go together. Rings worn on the right ring finger are typically called fashion rings and can be elaborate, but are not engagement rings.

I think when people are referring to the right hand they are meaning on the day of your actual wedding. Before the wedding you wear it on your left ring finger. The day of you wear it on your right ring finger and then once you have your wedding band place it back on your left ring finger above the wedding band. That's what I did anyway and so far no one has said anything and there has been no bad luck for me! :)

you were them both on the left hand. The wedding band first then the engagement ring. I gave the engagement ring to the pastor right before our service and my husband placed both rings during the wedding.

engagement and wedding ring on the left- on the same finger. MAybe what your seeing is anniversary rings. People get those and they look like wedding bands, and you put it on your right hand.

My first response was going to be on your finger, DUH! Then I realized you probably wanted a real answer. What I was told is that if you are in the US and you are getting married today, wear your engagement ring on your right hand. After the wedding ceremony you are then supposed to take it and put it on next to the wedding band (left ring finger).

It depends on where you are from. I know in some places in Europe that I've been to, they wear their engagement rings on their right hands but in most parts of the world, it's worn on the left.

It is on the same finger that goes on your married finger as well. Once you get married put the married ring in front of the engagement ring or have them put together.. That is how it is suppose to be.
