Read your history books and see all the death and destruction at the hands of the christian church. Look at the amount of wars and deaths that resulted from christian leaders starting fights. Look at the campaign to discriminate against homosexuals and force the beliefs of christianity into our schools. Whenever you see widespread hate and death. You will likely see a christian started it or did it in the name of christianity.

I'm an agnostic, but I'm going to work under the assumption that this question still applies to me, because I can.

Anyway, my answer: No, Christians do not make me want to vomit. I know a great many Christians who are wonderful people. Unfortunately, it's the most hateful ones that are often the loudest, and so they often drown out the decent ones.

Let me give you a free psychological analysis of yourself.

Since you didn't graduate from grade school, you feel inferior to almost everyone, so you lash out randomly at everything and everyone.

Since you can't complete a sentence without spelling and grammatical errors, you can't afford the counseling you so desperately need. Therefore, you have escaped into a paranoid schizophrenic world.

Just kidding. You'll do fine. Repeat after me: "Do you want fries with that?"

Of course, you don't really provide any basis or evidence why your beliefs are so true, while ours are not.

You simply employ rhetoric such as "Christians make me want to vomit," "mumbo jumbo," "cult," and accusing Christians of "spreading hate."

How many hungry children have you atheists fed today? The Catholic Church and other Christian groups are feeding millions of them, even as we speak.

I'm an atheist, and no, they don't. Bigots make me want to vomit. Spreading hate based on others' beliefs is no better than spreading hate based on "some boogeyman".

Not to call you a lie but the Muslims were in those wars with the Christan's and it looks like there is about to be another one. As far as I'm concerned live and let live until it affects you, your family or friends personally then kick butt.

I have no problem with the christian individual but with the christian theology itself. I accept that that is their chosen belief system and I will not knock them for it. We should all do what makes us happy. If it makes them feel superior to put me down then so be it. They have to remember I'm not the one who believes that one day I will be judged and since they do believe in judgment day then their actions towards me will be considered. It's all in personal perspective.

Not all do.
I may not agree with their beliefs but you must respect them for it all the same. Most are tolreant of me and don't try to drag me off to church every Sunday or whatever, they may have tried once but I told them I did not shave their particular preclivity and they didn't try again. They may be praying for my 'soul' behind my back, though!

Hate comes from ignorance, educate people and they become more tolerant (we hope)...

This is what I don't get: Why do atheists come onto a Christian site and say things like this? Why don't you go to a atheist site and say things like this, where you are all thinking alike? What's the point?
It would be like me a Christian going to a atheist site and saying the same thing about them, I wouldn't even want to! What makes you want to?

No. Only ignorant people who are blind to the truth and can't accept scientific facts. I have no problem with people following whatever faith they want as long as they keep it out of my face. Some people need faith to get them through their lives. Some people are strong enough to accept that they pave their own roads in life. It's all a choice you make for yourself.

Wow, you have been mislead. I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience, and I'm sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, you sound way too hardened and hateful (in general) to accept the truth, therefore you will have a difficult journey ahead of you. Peace out...
