My son joined the Coast Guard back in March. If you are allergic to bug spray, no need to apply. My son is and didn't find out they wouldn't let him join until a week he was already in it. He had to stay in this one room for a week before he was able to come back home. Good Luck

Good Choice. Serve the country and usually stay close to home. Learn seamanship more than the Navy.

If thats what you want. You should look into the other branches if you haven't already. I just joined the marines. It all depends on what you want to do.
