did he receive 23 chromosomes from god and 23 from mary, or did he receive all 46 from god.
i mean,, i know none of you actually know. i'm not expecting any real answers. but i'm curious if any of mary's blood was in jesus, or if she was more like something of a surrogate mother.

JCNOFEAR, and POKI POKI,
i really like your theory. but there's just one problem. if jesus received all 46 chromosomes from mary, then that would mean that he'd be a clone of her. he'd have two X chromosomes and would be female. so,,,,, he had to get a Y chromosome from SOMEWHERE. unless of course,,, jesus was actually a girl this whole time. any chance that that's the case?? daughter of god?? i don't think the people back then would have worshiped anything that has a period though. that sounds a little too openminded for biblical christianity.

thats an interesting question.. and if he has 23 chromosomes from God, wouldnt that mean that he looked like God? at least a little bit..
But WHAT I THINK... is that he didnt have any chromosomes from God.. one of Mary's eggs was just divinely made with 46, and started splitin by itself

Ok, I'll try to explain this but it won't be satisfactory to you. No explanation ever is for those of you who are anti-religionists. Jesus WAS NOT synthesized in any way. You need to read the definition of the word first of all. Secondly, the birth of Jesus Christ was prophesied from the beginning of the Bible. His birth was to be unique in that He would be born of a virgin. God CAUSED Mary to become pregnant WITHOUT the benefit of human conception. It was a MIRACULOUS birth as prophesied. God IS NOT human. He is God. He is the Creator, therefore He can do all things. Now all that said, you can accept it or reject it. It matters not. As for the DNA, Jesus was a divine creation in His flesh body. His DNA is of no import to anyone but those like yourself who think the things of this world are all there is. There is a spiritual world or another dimension where God is. Like it or not, believe it or not. I really don't care.

that's an interesting question. it wouldn't actually solve any mysteries, but it is an interesting question.
for those who want to understand more, Jesus HAS to be born of virgin to even START as being considered a randsome for manking, or the greatest sacrifice, or whatever you want to call it. he cannot be perfect if he isn't born from a virgin, meaning man's seed did not fertilize the egg inside Mary. the curse was put on "the seed of man."
after Adam ate of the apple, the curse was placed on the seed of man. this means that everyone born from a man and woman will be born under the curse, which is separation from God, taht takes full effect at the age of accountability, ie when you are able to understand right and wrong and reason out why you should choose one or the other (at least that's how i view accountability). so, if Joseph is the Father of Jesus, biologically, then Jesus is unfit to be the sacrifice because he is as guilty as the next person. that's why it isn't possible for any "man" to live a perfect life. we were all born under the curse and in need of a saviour.

wow... interesting question. i'm going to take it seriously for a second.
i'm not sure God could give Jesus 23 of "His" chromosomes, cause i really don't think God has chromosomes. but i'm pretty sure he could conjure some chromosomes out of thin air if He wanted to.
about Mary's chromosomes.... who knows?
why does it matter? even if God used an anonymous sperm donor, even if the whole "virgin birth" thing is just an allegory and not actual truth, it doesn't change who Jesus was and what He did.

do u noe the "humanic creation theory" (yes the name is wrong but i forgot the actual name so just replace it for a sec)? it states that things are not created by the mind until it is thought up...for example the earth is round because we thought and know it is round. SO...at that time when chromosomes werent thought up yet, no1 had any due to this theory cuz they didnt have the ability to think about it at that time THEREfore jesus didnt have chromosomes or DNA
if u were wondering why dinosaurs have DNA its because people know and thought that they had it

For Jesus to the the Messiah - Jews know the scriptures and fully expect the Messiah to be flesh and blood human - therefore, Jesus had to be born flesh and blood - human.
God created him in the womb - not through sexual means, but having the same effect. Even artificial insemination fails to fit accurately.

No, I think all his genes were random... 23 were not from Mary. All 46 were chosen by God, but not actually from him.

good question.... i am sure if someone found a blood sample of Jesus, many would want to do a DNA test on it. I'll be thinking all day about the chromosomes

Jesus was a clone, so he got all 46 from god.
God believes in cloning, now that is a novel concept.
I guess it is too bad Jesus didn't have children then we could see what his DNA really looked like.
