Russian does not sound at all like German. Portuguese is similar to Spanish , they have a lot more "SH" sounds and I do not know about Arabic.

Hello dear, Spanish and Portuguise are of the same group and have many common roots, Farsi is close to Arabic (at least as Alphabet ),.I don't agree that Russian sounds like German..Not at all..Only change one Russian TV channel with a German one. The pronounciation and the whole "sounding is utterly different"..Can you tell that "Ich liebe dich"( I love you) sounds like "Ya liubliu tebya"(Я люблю тебя)? I don't think so. I love your questions. Best of luck!
