I live in toronto canada, what is cheaper for cooking electricity or propane cylinders?

In almost every market, propane is cheaper to use, because it is a raw energy source. Electricity is a manufactured energy source (usually from natural gas or coal), and therefore more expensive.

PS.... All the great chefs of Europe cook on gas ;o)

I'm in sudbury...hey there...i have electricity at home, but use propane at camp....
my in-laws use propane and it's expensive...cause you pay for the propane and a rental fee for the tank...

I don't know what Electric runs in Canada, but where I am it is cheaper to use electric.
