evidently people don't realize that you're mocking the "if evolution is true, why are monkeys still around" questions.
very funny.

Are you talking about evolution? It is thought we come from a single common ancestor the same as monkeys, or apes, but you have to think that it is a real family tree, there are different branches and over time, (long, long, time) those branches became very different through natural selection and environmental influences, it is not a directly linked chain.

Or are you talking about familial duty placed up children by society. Try looking at the difference between eastern and western family customs where in the east there is much more onus placed upon a child to look after parents in their old age...

If you are speaking biologically then it's because we do not live in a "Brave New World", read the book by Aldous Huxley...

It sounds like you are attempting to logically prove that humans could come from monkeys and monkeys still exist. The flaw in your thinking is that children are still the same species as parents. If the children were a new species, the parents would eventually die out unless they produced more parents. The children would have to stay children and produce more children for them to survive as that species.

there's a difference between asking, "if man evolved from monkeys" and, "if children come from parents". they aren't even similar questions. one is a question of evolution while the other is a question procreation. a man and a woman are required to create a child. time is required for an entity to evolve into something else.

why are there still parents? because children aren't an evolution of parents, they are an offspring.

Because we have a responsibilty to our children for the rest our/their lives.

Children are a gift from God. He wants us to raise them the right way and hope that they turn out to be good people.

Just because children get older don't mean you ever stop being a parent to them. Sometimes the role gets reversed. I'm 26 and I find myself correcting my mother. LOL

Because parents will always remain till their children live and they themselves die.
