Of course you can make that stuff up. And, in a much shorter more flowing story line, that is also more believeable. I find the bible to be an inacurate history book of mostly boring events, punctuated by brief moments of excitement (if you consider destruction, murder and miracles exciting).

"This stuff" can be made up, but if it is simply made up for entertainment why are non-believers so determined to make believers change their minds? I believe in God however I have never been one to try to pressure anyone in their beliefs or should I say out of them. The basis of the Bible is not to entertain but to enlighten. To be anti-christian, reading it and criticizing it is like knowing you don't believe in vampires watching Dracula and then telling people how "stupid" it was.

You can't make it up, but it could be enhanced.

Still the story of Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah is a page-turner.

Incest, mass destruction, sexual perversion, retribution. That's entertainment!
