TRAFFIC is to blame. One day its ok, next day its ****. The traffic lights are out of sync, there is not enough space between lights going red and then green. There are more buses on the road, and they take up space, lorries, taxis, motorbikes, cyclists (slowing everyone down)
I get the same bus every day, but one day I can be 10 mins early and another 10 mins late.
I don't usually take my full lunch break anyway, so they can kiss my little **** if they think I am bothered. Its just a job.

The boss can moan all he/she likes. I rely TOTALLY on buses to get to and from work - the EARLIEST bus that I can get into work should arrive close where I work at 8.15 am, and the very LAST bus leaves the city where I work PROMPTLY at 5.40 pm. I already work through most of my lunch break. There are NO jobs close to where I live - everytime one does come up I apply for it, and get turned down because I don't drive (due to health and financial circumstances).

Your boss is right, he pays you to work a given number of hours, if you dont why should he pay you?
If staff are late, they make up the time at the end of the day.

Traffic is no excuse to be late. You know there is going to be dalays, so you should leave home earlier.
