Absolutely!

Absolutely not.

The only people who would maintain it IS possible are those who still don't understand what love even is.

Chatting on line you never see the negative points of another person and being able to tolerate and ignore the negative about another person is a major quality of love. Couples who cannot ignore these characteristics get divorced soon after reality sets in. Couples who know to keep their eyes half-shut after marriage remain married for decades. NONE of this is possible simply through e-mail communication.

It is certainly possible to fall head over heals in love with
the person you perceive to be on the other end of the
connection.

However, your perception of that person is completely
shaped by the peculiarities of e-mail.

For one thing, the both of you can edit what you say
which you really can't when you're talking face to face.

That is, one person may actually be a horrible bigot but
choose to edit that out of his e-mail - whereas he or she
might be somewhat more likely to let something like that
slip in a face-to-face meeting.

So ... you might be falling in love with someone. Now you
just have to prove that that someone exists in the form of
the person typing on the other end.

I've seen more innocent misunderstandings over e-mail turn
into screaming matches. You're better off talking face to
face as soon as possible.

A friend of mine was with her husband for 8 yrs but only married 4 months when she started chatting with someone on line. She left her husband moved 1300 miles away to be with her chatter. 6 months later she was pregnant divorced and alone. and she thought she was in love. My guess is if you think your in love meet and take that part slow. Just because it happen to her doesn't mean you can't go about it the smart way. Don't let lust blind you

Yes, but that's the illusion of who you think the person is rather who that person really is. There's is no way to completely know someone to the point of love via email.
