I believe in making the world safe for our children, but not our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.

In a Biblical sense, sex is a sin when done outside marriage, and even during marriage if it is a second or third marriage, where you got a divorce or any other reason other than adultery by your former spouse. A better question is why do you care? Today's religions commit far more sins, every day, so I can't see them telling any of their followers what they can or can't do. And worse, their followers don't care.

Look at the Catholic Church, the Baptist, and other religions. What we've seen in the news in just the last decade is nothing compared to many decades past. My mothers (age 78) and her brothers had problems with Priests, but they were taught to never talk about it. Look at the Reverend Jesse Jackson, who committed adultery and had a child. He "was" a man of the cloth and supposedly had the blessing of the Holy Ghost, but he turned committed willful sin. If you were to follow the idea that sex is a sin, than he sinned against the Holy Ghost, which according to Jesus is the only sin that comes without forgiveness. He's damned forever. Now I see that idiot, Jim Bakker (remember Tammy Faye) is out of jail and has another religious TV show.

Good question. Sex is not a sin. Sex is a part of human nature. The meaning of life is to procreate. However, it's the context in which sex is used that is a sin. Rape is considered a crime of moral turpitude, whereas, sadomasochism is considered a demonstration of true love. Do these people who answer these questions actually go to school or are they all complete idiots. The Bible was written during a time in human history when procreation was a necessity of survival; to populate the earth. Now that the earth is populated Sociologists have compared different societies and noted common "inert characteristics." Homosexuality is the result of extreme growth of a society and it is one of society's "inert" ability to curb its' own population growth. For example, for every 1000 births there will be 1 homosexual individual. So for every 100,000 there will be 100 homosexuals and so on. The same theory can be applied to immaculate conception (spontaneous reproduction), for every 10 trillion births there is one who is born spontaneously. It's a very simple concept to learn. You know, if homosexuals actually paid attention in school rather than trying to role play maybe they could get an easier understanding of there purpose in society instead of spreading HIV and AIDS.

skatedrummer is exactly right. The Bible says that too as do the texts from a number of other religions. Sex is supposed to be the ultimate act of love, commitment and communication between a man and a woman. Homosexuality, promiscuity, rape, sex outside of marriage, and any other perverse sexual practices violate that commitment and taint what is meant to be an act of pure love! Gandhi believed that sex should only be used by a husband and wife for procreation and nothing else! So, bag on the Christians, Muslims, and Jews all you want, but there are far worse extremes.

From a purely scientific and medical standpoint- monogamous heterosexual relationships are far healthier when it comes to risk of disease, illness, and emotional problems.

first of all... sex is not a sin on this level: WHEN YOU ARE MARRIED... God created sex to be intimate and too feel good, only when it is with the one we dedicate our life to yeah the "till death do us part" so many people have taken sex and use it as a game... Now day's people have (no joke) about 5-10 sex partners a dayl... and that is not just gross but disrespectful to your self and too God.. And God never created Adam and Steve It was Adam and Eve... And I don't care who gets mad about this one... God didn't create a male to be with another male or female with another female... That is a disgrace towards God... It is God's will that your mate be the opposite sex... so yes being gay or a lesbian is a sin...

None of them are a sin unless you are doing something vindictive and mean against someone. Being gay or lesbian is just like being heterosexual, all three are normal.

sex is not sinful, but "objectifying" a person is. That means, if you are seeking sex w/another person only for self-gratification, then that is sin! Sex is more than physiological sensations, it is communion between two people who love and honor each other and are comm!itted to one another! There maybe consequences of sex that is not desirable (like pregnancy and STDs) but sex in itself is not sin because that's how God created all living beings--to be sexual.

Is your conscience troubling you about something? If it is then you should listen to it, ok. About ur question: Sex in and of itself is not sin. It's a holy thing meant for marriage between a MAN and a WOMAN. Outside of this context, yes - it's a sin.

Your not married, ancient christian idealogy states sex before marriage is a sin.
It has something to do with the human nature of cleanliness and purity, its just better to do something productive than be a whore, slut, prostitue, because no matter why you do it and with whome, it serves no purpose unless your married.
[On the other hand]
of course gays/lesb can't marry, its just in-human and anti-productive. Serves no purpose regarding humanity whatsoever.

That concept has slowly lost its grounds over time however, and no wonder why now, its not a crime... its just a sin.

Think about it. God created Adam and Eve. He created us in his own image and he wanted us to be married and coupled up for the rest of our lives. We are to find the perfect mate and abstain from sex until after we are married, then we are to give ourselves and our soul to our spouse. If you look at all the people out there that have premarital sex they all end up with some kind of a disease or infection from having sex with more than one person. If everyone waited to have sex until after they were married they may not have any diseases. I believe STD's are Gods way of punishing us for having premarital sex. Your body is supposed to be a holy temple for God and for your spouse. If you defile your temple you are not doing what God had asked out of you and he will punish you for it .
Gays and lesibians, God created Adam and Eve. Not Steve and Adam or Eve and Ann. If men and women were meant to mate up with the same sex , and that is what God had intended for us to do, why can't same sex couples reproduce? God wanted adam and eve to populate the earth. We can't populate the earth if we can't reproduce. It is stated in the bible that homosexuality will be a end time sign and that God will punish them for laying down with the same sex. I often wonder if that punishment is AIDS.
There are consequences for your actions no matter what you do. You have to wonder why you would get a disease from sleeping with 3 different guys. What could you have done wrong other than sleeping with the wrong man? I do not believe that stuff like that happens as fate or just bad luck. Homosexuals can't reproduce, could that be their consequence for their actions, or a disease maybe?
