The basic formula is that you start with the cost of your ingredients, compensate yourself for the energy costs of baking and refrigerating, amortize the cost of your equipment (even if you already own it, there was a cost in purchasing it). Then figure out what your time is worth. If the cake takes you 10 hours to bake and decorate, then what will you reasonably be compensated for all of that time? In the US, you'd be looking at probably $20-50/hour for a home baker who decorates cakes.

I would charge double what the ingredients cost you or if you are doing a lot of decorating then 60 percent more than the ingredients.
Dont cheat yourself. Start out making them for less but raise your prices once people have tasted and bought your cakes and want them at any cost.

We just spent $500.00 on a wedding cake and a groom's cake. Very simple patterns, not too big or fancy. One (white) had a sea shell pattern, the other (chocolate) a Blue Marlin pattern. It was worth it. I'm in Texas. It was my son's wedding.
