If you're on an H-4 visa, you do not have a green card situation. The H-4 is a non-immigrant visa.

Immigration law is extremely complex. While it is best to consult a lawyer I will try to answer any questions you have. I originally came to the USA on an L-1 Visa but now have my Green Card. Feel free to e-mail me if you have a specific question.
