I don't think it's geeky or stupid. Actually I feel that people who don't know how to spell are stupid instead. As for IM talk....that annoys me and I refuse to do it. It ranks right up there with ebonics....which I also can't stand. Language and writing is a beautiful thing...an art form. It should be respected and used properly. When you see a question or answer on here with all of those silly abbreviations you know right away that it's either an immature kid trying to look cool or some want to be gangster who is actually typing from the comfort of his suburban home while his mom fixes dinner for the family. After that they are all going out for ice cream!!! Yea!!! Life sure is hard in the hood! Hahahahaha! Take care and I hope you have an amazing day!

No I don't use spell check because I can spell fairly well, but I think it's a good thing to have on this site.... Some people have serious questions and it's hard to answer them if they aren't spelling their words right... Same reason why I don't like it when people type out their questions like you said in "IM" style... It's takes to long to understand what you're trying to say... This site isn't for IMing... It's to ask people their opinion on a question you have and to receive an honest answer...

I always use spell check so as to be clearly understood in everything that I write (unlike your question). I take pride in my spelling abilities (unlike some people on this sight), and dislike the idea of getting caught making a mistake. Besides, I type faster when I spell correctly, because I don't have to stop to think about a slang misspelling.

I use spell check all the time. It is good to use it, so what you are writing looks professional. In the business world, if something is spelled wrong, it could make or break a deal, and your job could be on the line.
The one thing I hate about spell check, is that is doesn't have every word in it. I have spelled a word and know it is wrong, but it never says it is wrong.

I usually use spell check. It's really fast and convenient. (Teehee-it helped me spell convenient!) Plus, I think spell checking is great because sometimes you'll type fast and misspell a word without realizing it, and others may not be able to understand it, so I think the 4 seconds of spell check is definitely worth reader comprehension.

Umm i see ur really frustrated with spell check but it is extremely useful when there are people who don't understand the slang or whatever the hell you're using some ppl really are good spellers *2nd runner up spelling bee champ damn foreigners* but nope i never used spell check until now because i couldn't spell foreigners. hey dammit i think I've got it

You are not Prince. You apparently didn't graduate either. Do yourself a favor, and use spellcheck. It would really help. And maybe a lesson in grammer too. Grammer is how to properly word a sentence. Your first line "do any of u r soo geeky" doesn't even make sense.

Do you even know the proper English language - maybe that is why you choose not to use a spell checker. Seems to me the more you know (that is the correct spelling by the way) the smarter you are.

Nope I dont use it. And i rase heII with the nerds in here for biching about it.If you think I am lieing go look at my answers about spelling and grammar! It makes me sick when a bunch of Poindexters or Know it alls start that shi* about spelling! So I don't spell to good, So I don't use good grammar .
