It's interesting, but you could apply the same logic to your oak tree as you do to your imaginary god.
Maybe the blessings in your life come from the fairies that live in that wonderful oak tree. Maybe each day they are watching over you and making your morning cup of caffeine so sweet.
Perhaps you should go and pray to the magic fairies that live in that magic old oak tree and thank them for all the happy memories and the days that are to come.
But wait, that's just silly right.

The treehouse still being there has more to do with you and your son than with God.
It's hard to distinguish God's blessings from the little things in life that occur as a result of our own actions or the actions of other people, biology, chemistry, physics. That's why there are atheists.
God Bless Us Every One.

That is so funny. I agree that it's the little things, God can really touch our hearts with them.
One night I was walking along towards my apartment and, in the light above, I saw a moth just sort of fluttering in one spot. I reached up and held my finger just in front of his wings....I could feel the tiniest little breeze that those little wings generated. It was so beautiful, this little creature had given me a simple, lovely moment enjoying one of God's creations.
One day I was out on my balcony in my red robe. I have a hummingbird feeder out there too. I leaned over the balcony, and a little hummingbird came right up to me, right in front of my face. He hung there for a moment in space, his little wings beating a thousand times a minute......he had me confused with the red liquid in his feeder! I laughed and laughed, it was so cute.

I love life. All experiences, good and bad, add to my experience of life. I do appreciate all of the good things that happen to me.
I just don't feel a need to attribute them to silly invisible sky beings.
