Energy drinks including red bull are TERRIBLE for you. It's just a huge dose of caffeine so you're wide awake and able to study without feeling drowsy. There are some energy drinks that have natural ingredients so they are a little bit better for you. Also if you're study and drinking red bull you should drink red bull during you test as well. Tons of studies have shown that the tastes and mind set you experience while study will help you recall information better if you eat/drink the same things while taking the test.

No it doesn't, its an energy drink which means it contains high amounts of sodium, caffeine, and sugar. Back in the late 80's early 90's Jolt Cola, was introduced with high amounts of caffeine and sugar, and had the same effects as drinks like Red Bull, and it was pulled from most shelves because of the effects it had on kids, but since most stores wont sell energy drinks to kids they haven't been targeted in the same way.
Jolt Cola has since been reformulated to reduce the amount of caffeine and sugar contained in it to levels which are considered appropriate for sodas.

I used to drink it when I trained a lot. My body was in a rush of energy but my mind was like in a chaos. Lot of thoughts at the same time, you can't focus because you are in a rush.
Be careful on that and try something less level of taurine. Red Bull has like 1000 mg of taurine, there are beverages with 100 mg of taurine. It has a level of taurine that allows you to focus. Visit a store where you find vitamins and stuff like that. Or better eat more carbs when you need to study.
RED BULL IS
CAFFEINE
GUARANA
TAURINE 1000 mg
ALL OF THOSE ARE STIMULANTS and GUARANA MAKES YOU GET OLD FASTER.

Caffeine and guarana are two of the active ingredients in red Bull. They are both stimulants. Limited studies have shown that ingesting the equivalent amount of caffeine of 2 cups of coffee have increased test scores in college students. they also performed better on memory test and concentration.

The only difference I noticed was a bad case of the jitters. Oh, and the racing mind... kind of eliminated the possibility of studying.
