I'm talking from a non-US position.
-- 911 was not a war, it was an isolated terrorist act.
-- Bush's actions in Iraq were not merited, particularly in the unilateral non-UN sanctioned manner in which they were accomplished. Indeed this is a war. But no I would not say it was a 911 job, because the target was the government, not random people.
I would say that both actions are united in that they were undertaken without direct provocation.

President Bush announcing to the world that we were going into Iraq is not the same as what terrorist did on 9/11. The President didn't ( In spite of what many of you believe ) order our troops to go off and start killing innocent civilians and children. Has that happened? Yes, but because the Saddam followers in Iraq chose to put these innocent children and adults ( Many were their own family members ) in danger where they were seriously hurt or killed.
Nobody in the world, except for the the people that planned and carried out 9/11, knew what we would be facing that day. There is no comparison to ANY terrorist attack and us going into Iraq.
Maybe since you feel that we have pulled a 9/11 on Iraq, you should move there and help them rebuild their lives. Something tells me you're a lot like other people who want to ***** about the way our Government handles stuff, but you want to do it while hiding behind your computer screen.

Moral relativism -- the idea that no acts are better or worse than any other acts -- rears its ugly head again.
Bush did a 9/11 to Iraq? Not at all. Come, let us count the ways:
1) 9/11 was a sneak attack. Hussein, meanwhile, knew for at least a year that we were coming.
2) 9/11 was the deliberate slaughter of innocent noncombatants. Any noncombatant deaths in Iraq were accidental, and in large part caused by Saddam's refusal to move his people to safety or to even allow them to leave in safety.
3) Nobody, apart from the wackiest America-hating Americans, welcomed 9/11. But when US forces invaded Iraq and toppled Hussein, most Iraqis were delighted that Hussein was gone.
Or perhaps you missed the news that night, when it showed jubilant Iraqis pulling down Saddam statues and giving US soldiers flowers.
4) After 9/11, the terrorists didn't stop to help us care for our wounded and clean up the damage. But US soldiers have stuck around in Iraq, helping people rebuild their lives and their country, while providing them with food and medical care that Hussein didn't bother providing them with.
And while protecting them against "insurgents" -- most of whom are not Iraqi and most of whom are bent on nothing but killing fellow Muslims.
Wise up.

No, I don't. 9/11 was unprovoked , carried out by militant, rogue terrorists with no warning. Saddam provoked other nations by consistently defying terms set for him after he lost a war. The United States is a country, not a group of fanatics hiding in mountains. And the Iraqis had plenty of warning, in the form of years being told to improve, and in the form of knowing we were going to declare war. 9/11 struck innocent civilians, police and firefighters alike, and was a surprise attack- like that at Pearl Harbor.

he killed thousands of innocent people in one attack that had no military gain whatsoever, just because he disagreed with their religion?

I wish people who have never been to Iraq would shut their stinking pie holes and quit acting like the left leaning liberal media has told them 1/4 of what is really going on over there.
