People are telling me that they read Genesis 2.7 and it doesn't say God used all the dust of the ground. That is pretty clear to me also. So why is it that Christians ask, and its not all Christians, just some, they ask why if man evolved from monkeys, are there still monkeys? Isn't it possible that if God made man using monkeys, that he didn't use all the monkeys to make man?

To be "scientific" if man evolved from a common ancestor/monkey/ape, man didn't evolve from ALL the common ancestors, monkeys, apes, but that the man evolved from only a FEW of them, wouldn't this be equal the response and logic of "Genesis 2.7 doesn't say ALL of the dust".

because they can't accept that the bible is a collection of stories put together long after christ (except the old testament) to control the masses, sure why not follow the logic of the most scientific minds of our time when you can follow the scientific logic of people who didn't even have working toilets.....

You responded my question on atheists and that i loved it so i'm gonna answer yours and tutor you no longer all atheists are ignorant and rude. To be person-pleasant with you, if we did evolve from monkeys i believe it is because our dna is virtually the much like that of monkeys. So probably monkeys dna for sure advanced because of an endemic or some thing or per chance it became destiny. no one should be particular. the reason no crew has advanced slower is because evolution evolves on the precise p.c. as an celebration. Continents improve added aside on a each day foundation yet they improve the precise p.c. and distance as you finger nails. So the dimensions of you finger nails in a million week sticks out because the area the continents have moved aside and the speed will be an similar. Sorry for it being a lengthy answer yet i'm hoping I responded it to furnish you the records you've been searching for.

Personally, the deeper you go in this topic without knowlege and understanding about it, wierd things can be said, and this was pretty wierd. I see what the you and the people you mention are saying. However, being the somewhat ignorant person i am about evolution, all i will say is that either you believe Gods Word or you dont. If you choose to believe in evolution, whether you were raised this way or not, remember this. There are many different ways scientists "prove" evolution. But if evolution was true only one way is correct, and this goes the same way for the big bang. In the meantime there is only one way that everything was created and its by God, and there are no other versions, opinions, or or variations. Evolution has many, creation has one. No one can prove that creation didnt happen but there is alot of proof that evolution is a cover up for the truth.

My favorate responce to the religious right is thier answer to most questions, "God works in mysterious ways" Whos to say God didn't use common dust to create basic life and let things go on their own? Genesis doesn't set a provable time line for events, it just gives a 6 day period, and we have scientific evidance that days are not the same length that they were 50 to 100 years ago.

Well, scientifically, there is no proof whatsoever that man did evolve from apes, yet for some reason, athiests keep pretending it's a fact. Why is that? You are the same athiests who make fun of christians for believing in something they can't see, yet you are putting all this belief into a non-proven scientific theory, and you think you're being logical??? Yes sirree, all hail the big bang from nothing that created all. Yep, that's logic all right.

I'm wondering if you people even know what "theory" is? You do know it's not fact, right?

Ugh, because people don't open textbooks, they simply regurgitate apologetic crap. Evolution does NOT say we evolved from monkeys. It says that humans and monkeys/apes/etc share a common ancestor. Big difference there, especially considering their asinine question about the "still" existing monkeys. We evolved from the common ancestor, who obviously does not exist anymore, diverging into two distinct lines, apes/monkeys and humans.

ok, for the last time, EVOLUTION DOES NOT MEAN MEN EVOLVED DIRECTLY FROM MONKEYS!!!!!!!!! evolution is simply the theory (the highest elevation a scientific idea can achieve) that all things shared a common ancestor and through random mutations over millions and billions of years, they evolved and adapted to their present form and function. men did not evolve from monkeys, monkeys and men simply share a common ancestor from which they both split millions of years ago. that ancestor is now extinct, but through the mutations and the years, monkeys learned how to survive and humans learned how to survive. its not that hard, but somehow or other, fundamentalist christians CANT GET IT THROUGH THEIR THICK SKULLS!!!!!

If what you are saying is true, then why would God have to make monkeys and then let them evolve into humans? Why wouldn't he just make humans himself? Gen 1:26 says, "And God went on to say, "Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness . . ." How much clearer can that be? It says plainly that God created man, not God created apes or monkeys that evolved into man. God created man in his image in that man has the ability to think, feel, discern, and love. Apes have none of those abilities, therefore he did not create apes first and then let them "evolve" into men.

Christianity is the only Faith I know of, that preaches, "There is no greater love, than for a man to lay down his life for another." This is a great spiritual challenge to 'survival of the fittest'. Many philosophies are materialistic, and support the proposition that the end justifies the means. Christianity says, "We are justified by faith."

Someone tell me if there are two other schools of thought so diametrically opposed...

no, theistic evolution is not comaptible with the Bible
the normal language of Genesis 1 does not allow it as the rest of the Bible doesnt either. Admittedly some Christians are theistic evolutionist, but I dissagree that its the best interpretation

The bible even defines day and night, day whenits light, night hen its dark and maintians that definition

Jesus said marriage was form the begining of creation, similarly prophets and sacrifices were form the beging of creation

Probably because the theory of evolution by Darwin included something called natural selection. If something evolved from something else and was decidedly better at adaptation, then the thing it evolved from would eventually become extinct. Right?
