could be as early as six months or as late as over a year...but typically around 9-12 months.

Anywhere from 6 months to a year. Some bitches are different than others. Her vulva should be slightly (or maybe really) swollen, and some bloody discharge should be present. A typical heat lasts between 18 and 21 days, with the "most breedable" days being day 9-14. The first day you notice the discharge counts as day one. Good luck!

They can come in to heat at 6-24 months but small breeds can come sooner, it will last 18-24 days and can come in to heat twice a year about every 5-8 months a part

My Bernese Mtn Dog is 16 mos old and she still hasn't gone thru a heat cycle. We were at the vet this past Monday, he says she may or may not even go thru a heat cycle but she SHOULD be spayed before she's 2 years old so that she doesn't develop mammary tumors - this goes for all female breeds.

Depending on the breed and size of dog, anywhere from 5 to 10 months. I would not recommend breeding your dog until she is full grown. If you are not planning to breed your dog she should be spayed as early as 3-4 months of age. This will also help prevent certain cancers.

Between 6 and 9 months. But wait until she is at least 1 year old to breed. I hope you will have her spayed instead.

Depends what the size the dog is, the smaller the breed the earlier she will be in heat.
