Good question. Well, Jesus was more than just God's only son, he was also God himself if you subscribe to the strictest interpretation of the Trinitarian formulation. Furthermore, being that he was the embodiment of what the ideal man is supposed to be, it makes sense that he would be set apart among men for special distinction.
One of the greatest falsehoods propagated by those who want to put a PC spin on Christianity is that God doesn’t play favorites, and that it is part of his morally perfect nature to treat all individuals the same. If anything, moral perfection requires the opposite. After all, do you think a murder like Charles Manson, and a purely altruistic humanitarian like Mother Teresa should be treated the same by a perfect being? The answer should be an obvious no. In God’s kingdom there exists a hierarchy, as much as there is a pecking order here in the mortal world, with the exception that your ranking in the heavenly kingdom has to do with your faith, and the activity that stems from your belief.

What is so special about Jesus, the only way to enter into heaven is through Jesus, that is what is so specially, you have to accept him as your Lord and Savior and he is God's son. If you are not a Christian it would be hard for you to understand this. We are all Gods Children and God wants you to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, that you may be saved, and God is my father and Jesus is my brother and you could ask for no better.

Jesus was born of a virgin. If we could say that would'nt we be special? Jesus was the son of god, to be children on god, we have to be saved. Read the book of Romans in the new testament. Jesus was put on the earth of die on a cross for our sins, if it were not for that we'd all have been crusified, because the bible says the wages of sin is death. He saved you and me both from death, don't u think he's special.

Jesus is the Son of God. But then you might say "well we are all sons and daughters of God". Jesus was not born of sin. He was born of a virgin and bestowed with the awesome powers of God's Holy Spirit. He was put here to teach and to to die for us so that we may have a chance at salvation. That is what makes Him "so special"...

because Jesus is God. not just His son, but One in Being with the Father. He is part of the blessed trinity, Father Son and Holy Ghost. besides, anyone who would die for thier fath is considered a martyr, and there are plenty of saints whom we honor because of that. but Jesus, who is God, died for love of humanity. thats what make Him so special.

Jesus was more enlightened and aware than the majority of his society, back then. He made a difference in changing peoples hopes and beliefs. We could all be just like him, there is no difference.
