French is much easier to learn. Arabic has a different alphabet, it is written from right to left, the shape of the letters changes depending if they are at the beginning, the middle or the end of a word, and its grammar structures are different.
If your native language is English, French will be easier for you. Even though English is considered to be a German language, it also originated from French, so you will find many similarities.
The best way to learn any language is through classes and lots of practice -- talk to native speakers, watch TV or movies in that language, listen to songs or the radio, read books and magazines, write to native speakers, take a trip to a country where this language is spoken and practise it there.
I'm fluent in French and I also took Arabic for a semester in college -- the only thing I learned in three months was the alphabet and a few words (which I forgot since I haven't practised it ever since). After a semester of French in high school, I could already maintain an easy conversation.

It depends on what language you already know. At least French uses the same alphabet as English. With Arabic, you'd have to start with the equivalent of ABCs.
Of course, having to start from the bottom up to learn Arabic, you might learn to speak it with less of an accent.
And would you believe, all the Arabs I know also speak French?
I just reread your question, and I will have to look up that software. Sounds like fun!

happy u wanna learn a new language
well its very simple
common sense actually.
if u are use to the english script or the lang. u regulary speak is an english script
used in spanish french italian german
maybe its easier for u to learn french because u will already be familiar with the letters and sounds of the letters.
but if u speak pashto , urdu, farsi(persian), or any other language that uses the arabic script it might be easier for you to learn arabic
but then again the amount of interest in al;anguage also helps a person learn and become dedicated.
so i hope u understand wat im saying cuz i still feel that i wasnt that clear but it makes sense if u wanna learn it faster or easier go with something ur more comfortable or familiar with
